Substitute & Roster Placement
Individual registrants may be placed on a full-time team or designated as a substitute player based on availability and tournament needs.
Substitute players will be placed on teams or used as fill-in players as roster needs arise throughout the tournament.
The Frontline Face-Off Foundation makes every reasonable effort to ensure all registered substitute players participate in games.
If a registered substitute player is not assigned to a team or does not participate in any game due to lack of roster need, a full refund will be issued following the conclusion of the tournament.
Playing time, game assignments, and participation are determined by tournament operations, team needs, and competitive balance considerations.
Individual player awards are intended to recognize the performance of frontline workers participating in the tournament.
Substitute players who are verified frontline workers may be eligible for individual awards only if they are:
Registered with the tournament as substitute players
Assigned to a team or documented on an official game roster
Identified by name and jersey number during tournament play
Substitute players who are not frontline workers, including full-time hockey players participating solely as fill-in substitutes, are not eligible for individual awards regardless of games played or performance.
Final determination of award eligibility rests with the Frontline Face-Off Foundation and tournament officials.
Roster placement decisions are made by the Foundation and are final.
I acknowledge the substitute participation policy, award eligibility rules, and the requirement for substitute players to bring both a light and dark jersey.
