The Help for Heroes® Program is designed to meet the mental health and substance use recovery needs of active duty service members, veterans, first responders and other high-risk frontline professionals.

Brought on by on-duty challenges including combat stress, repeated exposure to traumatic events, grief and loss, and family separation, these adverse scenarios often trigger trauma-related disorders including:

» Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

» Acute stress disorder

» Substance use disorders

» Suicidal and homicidal ideation

Denver Springs offers inpatient mental health stabilization, Partial Hospitalization (PHP), and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) for adolescents and adults. We also provide inpatient medical detox (alcohol and/or benzos) for adults.

  • Inpatient mental health and medical detox usually have a length of stay around 5-7 days depending on medical necessity.

  • Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) is approximately 10 sessions (usually 2 weeks) and is a 5 day per week group-based program.

  • Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is about 15 sessions (about 5 weeks), and is group-based therapy with a minimum of 9 clinical contacts hours per week.

Each level-of-care has a mental wellness, chemical dependency, or co-occurring program track depending on a patient’s needs. Additionally, all levels-of-care offer medication management through our medical providers, but this is only while the patient is in our treatment – after discharge we refer to community providers for ongoing medication management. Lastly, we specialize in working with Active Duty Military, Veterans, First Responders, and Firstline Healthcare Workers with our Help for Heroes program.

Insurances: We are in network with pretty much everyone – most commercial providers, Medicare, Tricare, TriWest/VA, and all RAEs of Colorado Medicaid.
